It could be something dark and spooky with vampires, bats, and graveyard tombs. It’s very important to start with an idea first. And it can be a great help in telling a dark fairy tale or an exciting Halloween story in your still life. It looks cryptic, mystical and a bit creepy. The smoke itself is a malleable and interesting subject to work with. So, let’s see how we can use smoke to create a mysterious and enigmatic atmosphere and combine it with paper figures to tell a story. Of course, in order to make this silhouette look natural in your scene, you need to know some tricks. You just need to cut its silhouette out of paper. If you want to have a dragon in your shot, you don’t really need to find a giant fire-breathing lizard. Sometimes the best way to tell a story in photography is not to use real things, but symbols. Pre-order will probably yield in a nice rebate.A Kraken in a bottle, the image Dina will show us how she created.
AFFINITY PHOTO STABLE RELEASE SOFTWARE
I simply can't think of another software vendor that provides so much for so little.
AFFINITY PHOTO STABLE RELEASE FREE
Not only is the software both excellent and remarkably inexpensive, and all the upgrades to date free, but it also provides lots of really good free educational videos (short, but content-filled). AFFINITY PHOTO STABLE RELEASE UPGRADE
Yes, I expect that I'll upgrade to 2.0, just as I've bought every DxO upgrade for many years. I use Faststone and every couple of years I donate to support the developer. The other aspect is that given their track record of providing free updates for years I will want to support them. They are using an App model pricing scheme where the costs involved are low and therefore so is the barrier to purchase AP 1.8 came out in February 2020, and it looks like the release of 1.9 is close, given that videos demonstrating its new features were released three months ago. And the upgrade price has to seem reasonable to people who didn't pay much for AP 1.X.įor example, will there be a new Persona, with all-new capabilities? Will it have a serious RAW developer? So there will have to be a few major killer features, not just minor new options that few people need or understand. I'm sure its business plan depends on getting as many as possible of those numerous AP 1.X users to pay for the upgrade to 2.0. Serif has seeded the market, with many people buying the low cost AP 1.X. I assume 2.0 will be a bigger release, with some major new capabilities, so it may have a bigger gap, but I'd still expect it in 2022 (ie, about three years after April 2019). AP 1.8 came out in February 2020, and it looks like the release of 1.9 is close, given that videos demonstrating its new features were released three months ago.

Based on this we can make a tentative guess that a 2.0 would be available in approximately 3/4 years."īut, it very much looks like a guess, rather than a timetable.
AFFINITY PHOTO STABLE RELEASE UPDATE
"AffinityHi Jorge,Our 1.6 update rolled out in November 2017 and the 1.7 updates will hopefully be available soon, which is roughly 18 months between updates. In April 2019 Serif suggested 3 to 4 years before 2.0 might be released. I assume so too, but that may not say anything about the time scale. I assume that will be the last free upgrade before a paid-for upgrade to 2.0. There's a 1.9 on public beta test - you can see videos of the new features.
